A seaside community centered around the local wharf, Port Renfrew enjoys the kind of relaxed, personable atmosphere that only a small village can create. With a population of just under 200 residents, the village is home to a general store, outfitter, post office, a handful of tasty cafes, two pubs and a smattering of small operations aimed at servicing visitors to the great outdoors. It’s a small, friendly community with a long history of fisherman and logger folk lore. Fishing is king around here, and proud stories of the ‘biggest catch’ can be heard just about everywhere.

The village is also home to the Pacheedhat First Nation, descendants of the area’s first inhabitants.
